This car is special to me. For one thing, it's a Pontiac GTO. For another, it's the last car that my Dad and I bought together some years before he died. Although I had fallen in love with them as a teenager, he had the presence of mind to keep me out of one until I was a little more mature in my thinking and actions. That was a good thing. I started this restoration project shortly after my first son was born in 1984. It was to be a full frame-up restoration. I got the car completely disassembled and had begun the work of restoring it when "life got in the way" and it had to be put on hold. In the summer of 2008, I finally restarted the project. These photos are intended to be sort of a record of things as I go along. Please wish me luck.
